Let’s Get You Where You Want To Be.
Hi, I’m Fisher
I’m a Gen-Z, first-generation American, and I've been living in D.C. for four years. Most of my clients come to me as first-time therapy seekers, and it’s important to me that I meet them where they are. I believe in authenticity and transparency with my clients; there will be no uncertainty about what we’re doing or why we’re doing it - we’ll collaborate on your treatment in a way that feels natural and productive.
I’ve received a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University, where I was awarded both the Dr. Chris Erickson Mental Health Service Advocacy Award, and the Clemmont E. Vontress Cross-Cultural Award. I hold a LGPC in the District of Columbia.
My Approach
My approach is rooted in the psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral theories of counseling, which means we’ll explore the deeper patterns and experiences that shape how you think, feel, and act. I also integrate emotion-focused and person-centered perspectives, creating a nonjudgmental space for you to truly explore and discover the deeper origins of your challenges and the tools that can support you.
Seeking therapy is a brave first step - together, we'll take many more in the right direction. If anything here resontated with you, I bet we'd be a good fit - if you think so too, please feel free to reach out for a 15-minute consultation.
